From the bustling city of Peshawar, we cross the Khyber Pass into Afghanistan. We travel along the road that once connected the Indian world (the Punjab Plain) with Central Asia, and head for Kabul.
We make our way to the Buddhist ruins still found in the Shomali Plain and Bamiyan, and also pay a visit to the many sites that flourished in the north of the Hindu Kush. This is a fulfilling trip that allows you to enjoy the historical heritage of Afghanistan, its beautiful nature, various chance encounters with locals, and the country’s exotic markets.
