Mohenjo-daro is the largest city site of the Indus civilization, which flourished from 2500 to 1800 B.C. and is believed to have been inhabited by up to 40,000 people. The site is divided into a fortified area in the east (with a Gandhara-era stupa and bathing site, which is thought to have been a religious and administrative site) and a city center in the west (with nobleman's houses, stores, commoners' houses, etc.). Only 10 percent of the ruins have yet to be excavated, and the site is dotted with unexcavated mounds. Not only the ruins, but also the surrounding rural areas of the "interior of Sindh" are very photogenic. If possible, stay at the "rest house" inside the ruins and enjoy your stay in the countryside of Sindh Province.
