This tour is our recommended itinerary to visit the mud volcano areas of Balochistan - Hingol National Park and the deepest part of Sindh province, along the Indus Highway. The Indus Highway is very photogenic, with trucks full of harvest goods passing by. And the markets and villages along the way welcome tourists warmly. We, Indus Caravan team has been handling tours in the Balochistan region since 2018. Foreigners need to obtain a permit and be accompanied by security, but beyond the hardships, the views of the mud volcanoes and their mountain ranges are quite spectacular. Our four-wheel-drive vehicles will take you to the <Spectacular Viewpoints> that we have found in our previous tour experiences.

Itinerary

01
In the morning, visit National Museum in Karachi. Then drive to Hyderabad. En route, visit Chaukhandi tombs and Makli Hill Necropolis, a World Heritage Site.

Drive along the Indus Highway to Mohenjo-daro. Enjoy the interior-Sindh landscape. Upon arrival, visit the Museum of Mohenjo-daro ruins and enjoy the sunset. We will be staying in the historic Rest house at the archaeological site.

In the morning, before opening, visit the Mohenjo Daro site（DK and SD area）. Then drive to Gorakh Hill.

Visit Gorakh Hill at dawn. After breakfast, visit a Baloch village in the mountains and then on to Sehwan Sharif. In the evening, witness a dhamaal (ritual dance) at the shrine.

Drive back to Karachi. Enjoy the dinner at Clifton Beach area.

Drive from Karachi to Kund Malir. Evening, visit “Chandragup Mud Volcanoes”

Morning, explore the coastline and Hingol National Park. We will visit “Princess of hope” and other amazing rocky complex and Buzi Top. Afternoon visit Nani Mandir Hindu Temple inside National Park. Enjoy sunset over Hingol river and view of mountain range created by mud volcanoes activities.

Morning, hike at the foot of two large mud volcanoes. In the afternoon enjoy the coastal mud volcanoes, sand dunes and sunset.

Travel from Kund Malir to Karachi. On the way, make a stop at the ship breaking Yard, Ghadani.

Itinerary
* For foreign visitors, a visit to Balochistan depends on obtaining a permit（as of Sep 2023）.
* Accommodation in Gorakh Hill, Sehwan Sharif and Kund Malir is in basic facilities. In Kund Malir it is possible to camp on the beach.
* It is possible to arrange to start your journey from the Punjab region (Islamabad, Lahore).Please enquire.
