Skardu is a valley formed by the Indus River flowing from Ladakh, India. In summer, Skardu is the base town for trekking to K2 and is crowded with climbers and trekkers. Recently, excursions to the Shigar and Khapalu valleys and the Deosai National Park have become popular among tourists seeking adventure and nature scenery.
Pakistan Airlines now offers domestic flights from Islamabad, Karachi, and Lahore, and if the weather is clear, you can enjoy a view of Nanga Parbat (8,126m), the world's ninth highest peak, from the flight.


Fly from Islamabad to Skardu. Upon arrival, drive to Shigar Valley. (In case of flight cancellation, head to Chilas by car to spend a night and arrive in Skardu in the afternoon of the second day.)
Enjoy a visit to Sarfranga Desert, Hussainabad Village, and Shigar Valley
Drive along the Indus and Shyok rivers, and start exploring Khaplu Valley which is one of the most beautiful valleys of Gilgit Baltistan.
A full-day excursion trip to Deosai National Park. There might be chances to encounter the Himalayan brown bear and long-tailed marmot, all at an altitude of approximately 4,200m. Enjoy a view of Nanga Parbat (8,126m), the world's ninth highest peak, from Shoesar lake.
Return to Islamabad by air. (In case of flight cancellation, head to Chilas or Besham by car to spend a night and arrive in Islamabad the next day)

When departing from Islamabad, a minimum of 4 nights can be arranged including an extra day in case of domestic flight cancellations. In addition, it is possible to go to Hunza or Astore Valley combined with the suggested itinerary below. Please consult with us.

The domestic flight from Islamabad to Skardu is a mountain flight and the operation is dependent on weather conditions. Please plan your itinerary in case of flight cancellations.
