Skardu is a valley formed by the Indus River flowing from Ladakh, India. In summer, Skardu is the base town for trekking to K2 and is crowded with climbers and trekkers. Recently, excursions to the Shigar and Khaplu valleys and the Deosai National Park have become popular among tourists seeking adventure and nature scenery. Now Domestic Airlines offers flights from Islamabad, Karachi, and Lahore and if the weather is clear, you can enjoy a view of Nanga Parbat (8,126m), the world's 9th highest peak from the flight.

Itinerary

01
Fly from Islamabad to Skardu. After arriving at Skardu, visit local Bazaar and proceed to Shigar valley.

Full day visit Sarfranga Cold desert, Husseinabad Village, and Shigar Valley.

Full day drive along the Indus and Shoyok Rivers to visit the beautiful Khaplu Valley.

Full day visit Deosai National Park. At an average altitude of 4,200 meters, you may be lucky enough to see Himalayan brown bears and long-tailed marmots. We will have a view of Nanga Parbat from Shesar Lake.
05
Return to Islamabad by flight.

Itinerary
Domestic flights from Islamabad to Skardu are mountain flights, and in case of flight cancellation, you will have to travel overland to Skardu for two days and one night. Please plan accordingly, including a reserve day.
