Spring arrives in the mountainous regions of northern Pakistan in late April. The snow begins to melt on the slopes around 4,000 meters (13,000ft) above sea level. Long-tailed Marmots come out of hibernation, and Himalayan ibex gather in search of the sprouting grass. There are also snow leopards chasing the ibex. While staying in a village of Upper Hunza, you will visit Khunjerab National Park and the KVO wildlife reserve every day from early morning until dark in search of snow leopards.
